New requirements have been introduced for cargo shipments on passenger aircraft that transport goods to Australia, Canada and the United States, or transit through these countries, and originate from countries designated by the governments of the aforementioned countries. These requirements stipulate that cargo can only be accepted for air transport from shippers with whom the freight forwarder or carrier has an Established Business Relationship (EBR).
To comply with this requirement, from September 26, 2024, our company must verify that all shipments come from shippers who meet the new EBR criteria detailed below.
Please carefully review the information below and provide the necessary confirmation to avoid disruptions in your shipments.
For each air waybill (MAWB), the carrier must provide certification that they have verified that all shippers associated with the air waybill meet at least one of the following EBR criteria:
To meet this requirement, carriers must submit the certification through the Carrier Declaration along with the shipping documents at the time of acceptance.
From September 26, 2024, airlines will reject shipments without the required EBR confirmation under shipping regulations.
